Rent is $475/month plus utilities (gas, electricity, water, internet), which vary by season but average to approximately $150/month per person. Common areas are furnished. This house is located in the Kirkwood neighborhood, approximately 3 miles from Emory, the CDC, and Columbia Theological Seminary and 4 miles from Georgia State. We are .5 mile from the East Lake MARTA station and 1.5 miles from the Edgewood shopping center, which has a Kroger, Target, etc. The house is in a great in-town neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and cafes in Kirkwood, Candler Park, Oakhurst, and Decatur.
The house has all appliances (fridge & freezer, microwave, oven, stove, dish washer, new washer/dryer) and a large fenced in backyard and porch. It is by no means a new house, so comes with its own "character," but the landlords are generally attentive to complaints and repairs as needed. Also, you are welcome to paint the bedroom if you would like.
You would be living with two female PhD students. We are an easygoing household, and prefer someone who is laid back, respectful, and friendly, and willing to contribute to household maintenance (mowing yard, taking out trash, etc.).
