Associate Pastor for Congregational Care

At Buford Presbyterian Church, located in Sugar Hill, GA, we welcome all on our path towards a stronger faith relationship through traditional worship, fellowship, and community service. We are an active congregation with 385 members seeking an ordained candidate.
This position will be a part-time, hybrid home/office position and will typically work 20 hours per week.
The Associate Pastor for Congregational Care will be called to:
• Provide Pastoral Leadership weekly in worship service, including preaching in person (every four to six weeks), administration of the Sacraments, conduct marriages and funerals as needed
• Provide overall Pastoral Care and Counseling services to church members and friends of the church
• Lead a weekly Bible Study Class during the school year

1. Qualifications:
- Graduate or current student of a Presbyterian seminary in the U.S. or an equivalent institution.
- Someone called to children’s ministry with a passion for the Gospel.
- Must currently reside in the U.S. and be eligible for legal ministry work.
- Prior experience in Korean School ministry is preferred.
- Ability to preach in English.

The Senior Pastor will serve as a key leadership figure at St. Philip's by collaborating closely with the current Rector and staff. The ideal candidate will continue to advance the church's core beliefs and vision and enhance life-transforming ministries during this time of transition by the Rector. They will have the ability to succeed the current Rector upon retirement.
